Our Mission

To secure a viable and prosperous future for the cattle industry by promoting educational opportunities for young people and adults through scholarships, events, and collaborative partnerships while honoring the diverse ranching history of Monterey County

What we do

MCCW Agriculture Scholarships

We are offering scholarships to seniors who reside and attend high school in Monterey County and plan on continuing their educating in the field of agriculture.

Ranch Rodeo

The Monterey County Cattlemen’s Association and MCCW put on an annual Ranch Rodeo in King City to celebrate our cattle ranching heritage.

Farm Days

The MCCW operates a booth every year at each of the Monterey County Agricultural Education’s Farm Day events.

MCAE has been an active advocate for agriculture since the mid-1980s. It has gained local, state and national recognition for the quality and extent of its programs. Annually, the agricultural industry of Monterey County  comes together to provide an outstanding educational enrichment program for all third graders in the county.

Cattlewomen of the Year

To honor and recognize the outstanding achievements of one of our Cattlewomen, we select one of our members to be awarded “Cattlewomen of the Year” during our annual banquet. The honoree will receive a cowbell, buckle, and silver bracelet from the California Cattlewomen Association.

Every member of our organization are hardworking and often unsung women getting the job done day in and day out. This award allows us to honor their individual contribution and to celebrate the legacy of Cattlewomen throughout history.

Beef Ambassador

In a joint cooperation of California Cattlewomen and the California Beef Council, the Beef Ambassador contest teaches youth about the importance of the beef industry and beef as an agricultural product.
